while i am far behind in my blogging with my trip, i do know i am more caught up here than most everywhere else in my life. while here in spain, i got to go visit palma de mallorca, a city on the island of mallorca. as it turns out, however, cancun is to the united states as mallorca is to germany. so i got to hear and meet a lot of germans, and was thought to be spanish, then south american, then english before finally revealing i was from the united states. so that was kind of cool. it helped that i was with allie, who did most of the speaking, making it seem as though i spoke as well as she did. it rained a bit while we were there, which eventually made for really nice lighting. we also went to "europe's best aquarium," only to find that tag line is a truly hideous form of false advertisement.
now, on to what i prefer in my blog posts:

3000 miles from my home, i'm on the california zephyr...
so this is two posts in two days which is somewhat absurd! but i am doing it anyways. after i went to sierra de francia, i spent some more time here in salamanca and busted out the ole fish eye lens, which i have not used for a very long time. but, it was a good way to show some of the more obscure things i have come across in the city.. so here is a little bit more of a picture of my hometown here in spain.
